Comfy but not frumpy

Anyone else live in comfy clothing? I'm all for dressing up but my daily look these days is always something VERY comfy. I remember in high school and college that if I didn't have my hair and makeup done and the perfect, cute curated outfit that I thought I wasn't fit to be seen by humanity...I'm sitting here laughing out loud at the old me right now. After working remotely for the past couple of years and ESPECIALLY after having a baby, I have fully embraced and mastered the comfy but not frumpy look.

At first, being ok with not looking totally put together was really hard. It took me awhile to realize that I cared so much more about how I looked and dressed. We are always our own worst judges and harshest critics. Loving yourself, flaws and all, is something we all should strive for.

TIPS to achieve the COMFY LOOK:

  1. Buy clothing that complements your body type - clothing that hugs your natural shape will stay comfortable throughout the day rather than something that restricts your natural movement

  2. Have a couple oversized tees in your wardrobe - plain or graphic, they are definitely a great way to achieve the comfy look

  3. High waisted lounge shorts can be paired with loose crop tops as well as oversized tees to keep your outfits looking fresh

  4. Complement a comfy look with everyday jewelry staples such as layered necklaces or a bracelet stack
